It surely hasn’t been a solo effort getting this far.
I’ve been #writing since I was very young, making up stories from as far back as I can remember. But it’s only in the last two years that I created the pen-name Dixon Reuel and founded Thunderloft Press in order to #indie #publish.
I’ve had success along the way, particularly in poetry when I was runner-up for the Patrick Kavanagh Poetry Award and awarded a residency at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre in Annaghmakerrig, also success for my short fiction with being runner-up for the Aeon award and the James White award. But again, none of this was a solo effort.
Without support from the people around me, without being afforded the time and space to write, without being encouraged and supported, sure I would still be writing, regardless. But the journey has been much more sweeter for the company, support, likes, and cheering-on along the way. So thank you very much, dear reader. There’s a dedication to you in RISE OF ONE 👍
